About Me

About Andrew

I grew up in Northern California in the Sacramento area. I spent childhood summers taking trips with my family to Tahoe where my love for the outdoors blossomed.

I went to college at UCSC where I got a Bachelor’s of Science in Ecology, Evolution and Biology and heavily emphasized my experience in fisheries management. I spent a few years after college working for CA Department of Fish and Wildlife, and US Fish and Wildlife Service, and worked on fish restoration programs.

I transitioned my career into municipal services, and I’m currently employed by a local City Agency in the Northern Sacramento area.

I spend most of my days with my wife, my children and family and friends.

Fishing.

I predominantly fly fish, focusing on two-handed spey casting. I have a heavily-modified Outcast Striker fishing raft that I use to float most of Northern California’s and Southern Oregon’s watersheds, chasing trout and Steelhead.

I also do conventional fishing, mostly trolling from my dad’s 17’ Alumaweld Stryker. Early spring and late fall produce excellent top-water trout fishing on Lake Tahoe!

Film.

I’m self-taught in film and photography. I’m constantly trying to learn, improve my skills, and grow into the hobby. I hope you enjoy watching my journey!
